Gabe Scott Dominates in Fort Smith with Unanimous Decision Victory
20 ago 2025

This past Saturday, August 16, Russellville Boxing Club’s own Gabe Scott stepped into the ring in Fort Smith and delivered a commanding performance, winning by unanimous decision at 154 lbs. Showcasing grit, strategy, and composure—even while battling a fresh ankle sprain and facing a southpaw for the first time—Gabe pushed the pace for all three rounds and made his hometown proud.

On Saturday night, August 16, Russellville Boxing Club fighter Gabe Scott secured a unanimous decision victory in Maumelle. The fight, contested at 154 lbs, was scheduled for three two-minute rounds. Despite entering the ring on a freshly sprained ankle and facing his first left-handed (southpaw) opponent, Gabe rose to the challenge and controlled the action from start to finish.
Throughout the fight, Gabe earned two standing 8-counts, one in the first round and another in the second. For those unfamiliar, a standing 8-count occurs when a referee stops the action to give a fighter eight seconds to recover after taking a series of heavy shots—clear evidence of Gabe’s dominance in the ring.

Round 1:
Gabe opened strong, controlling the center of the ring and pushing forward with crisp combinations and sharp head movement. Just 30 seconds into the round, he scored the first standing 8-count with an explosive flurry that put his opponent on the defensive.
Round 2:
His opponent came out aggressive to start the second round, looking to turn the tide. But Gabe showed composure, slipping shots with excellent head movement and countering with precision. At the 90-second mark, he landed another heavy sequence, forcing the referee to issue a second standing 8-count. Gabe finished the round still pressing forward, mixing head and body attacks while keeping the momentum.
Round 3:
In the final round, Gabe stood his ground and pushed his opponent back into the corner, keeping him on the ropes for much of the first minute. He displayed clean fundamentals—defense, body work, head movement, and footwork—all while stringing together the kind of combinations that sealed his unanimous decision win.
From Coach Brian:
“Gabe put together some amazing combinations throughout the fight, and in his last two outings he’s found success with several of the strategies we’ve been focusing on in practice. In this fight, he consistently landed shots from the outside while also working the body effectively on the inside. One of my primary goals as a coach is to equip our team with the skills to win in the ring and to defend themselves in the real world. Boxing is an incredible sport, and since we started the club in 2013, I’ve seen it create powerful and inspiring transformations in people’s lives. I also want to thank our resident pro and assistant coach, Tim Amerson, for working the corner. Tim is a state and Mid-South Golden Gloves champion as well as a professional boxer, and the perspective he brings from his own ring experience is a privilege for our fighters.” – Coach Brian Wilson
All of us at Força Martial Arts & Fitness and Russellville Boxing Club are extremely proud of Gabe’s continued growth and success.
