Our Academy specializes in promoting positivity and developing a sense of confidence, character and community in each student. Brian, Cora and their staff of instructors guide their students with motivation and a professional approach. 

Training includes our award winning martial arts program for all ages under the Inferno Combat Systems and Team LDMA associations.  Our youth program features our pre-school Little Dragons program (ages 3-4), Little Ninjas (ages 5-7), Ninjas (ages 8-12), as well as our Teen program (ages 13-17).

Força’s adult programs deliver intense, cardio-burning, group-fitness boot camps and fitness kickboxing class sessions in addition to our well-rounded adult martial arts program with classes in boxing, kickboxing, judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA.

Brian Wilson
Owner & Head Instructor

Training Background

Brian Wilson is founder and co-owner of Forca Martial Arts & Fitness in Russellville, Arkansas, and is also director of Força’s Community Outreach Program, a local 501c3 non-profit organization. Brian began his martial arts training in 2006 under the guidance of Kaleb Plank and Mike Page at Inferno Mixed Martial Arts in Clarksville; his coaches also include Danny Dring, William McGlothlin, Joshua McMillian, and his mentor, Dean Plank, among others.

Brian holds a black belt in MMA in Inferno Combat Systems and is a brown belt in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo.  He has competed in numerous tournament matches across the United States, including the IBJJF World Jiu-Jitsu Championships, Pan American Games, and American Nationals, as well as many other regional tournaments in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Missouri.  As a striking coach, he has also produced multiple IKF Amateur World Kickboxing Champions.  Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science with a minor in Philosophy as well as a Master of Arts in History, both from Arkansas Tech University.

Cora “Kimura” Wilson
Owner & Head Instructor

Training Background
Cora Wilson, Group Fitness, Youth MMA/BJJ instructor and Head Women’s BJJ Coach, is co-owner of Força Martial Arts & Fitness and principle officer of Força’s Community Outreach Program, Força’s 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to share the benefits of martial arts training with community members throughout the River Valley. Cora is a two-time, undefeated amateur world kickboxing champion and holds the ranks of blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, brown belt MMA in the Inferno Combat Systems, and yellow belt in Judo. Cora has competed in combat sports all over the United States and is a multi-time gi/no-gi American Grappling Federation gold medalist, as well as an IBJJF Pan-American and Worlds BJJ Championships competitor.  She competes as a War Tribe-sponsored athlete and has won the endorsement of several local sponsors, such as Umami Sushi and Grill Fusion, Quiznos Subs, and Freddo’s Frozen Treats.

Taylor Heflin
Assistant Instructor

Training Background
Assistant instructor in Força’s Little Ninjas and Ninjas programs and head instructor in the Black Belt, Elite, and Demo teams, Taylor Heflin began training Taekwondo when she was eleven, and received her first-degree black belt at thirteen. She trains regularly with various weapons, such as Bo Staff and Nunchaku and has been a student at Força since 2014. Taylor has been a Russellville native for most of her life, and she and her husband are the proud adoptive parents of two dogs and two cats.  Taylor cross-trains in our adult martial arts program as both a student and assistant instructor in our kickboxing and women’s jiu-jitsu program.

Joshua McMillian
Head Judo & Aikido Instructor

Training Background
As current president of Força’s Community Outreach Program, instructor of Judo and Aikido, and student in Força’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Fitness programs, Joshua McMillian brings over 20 years of martial arts experience to the mats. In addition to a lifetime of experience in law enforcement, he holds a fourth-degree black belt in Judo, a sixth-degree black belt in Aikido, and a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Joshua currently serves as Chief of Campus Police for Arkansas Tech University.

Chris Housenick
Assistant Instructor

Training Background

Chris Housenick is an assistant instructor in the Ninjas MMA program and also leads the Project Warrior Grappling program, a component of Força’s Community Outreach Programs, which provides free training and instruction in Grappling/No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for military members, veterans, ROTC cadets, and local law enforcement and firefighting personnel. Chris has been studying and training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing under Brian Wilson as part of Team LDMA-Força since 2011.  Currently a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Chris is Força’s resident expert in “Old Man Jiu Jitsu” – grappling for the over-40 crowd.

Kim Bethel
Group Fitness Instructor

Training Background

Kim Bethel is one of our very talented group fitness instructors.  She is a certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and the Fitness Kickboxing and Fitness Boot Camp Facilitator at Russellville Fitness Kickboxing and Força Martial Arts and Fitness.  Kim has been with the Força/RFK team since 2012!

Aaron McCarthur
Assistant Instructor

Training Background

Aaron McArthur joined Força in 2012 with several achievements in grappling already under his belt. He holds two collegiate and three high-school state wrestling championships from his years in Montana and was a two-time divisional champion and All-American in wrestling at North Idaho College. He coached youth programs in Montana, Idaho, and Nevada before bringing his talents to Russellville.  Aaron is also an Assistant Professor of History at Arkansas Tech University.

Asia Pettit
Assistant Instructor

Training Background
Asia Pettit began training in martial arts at the age of 18 and currently holds rank in Força’s MMA, Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs. She has also competed in Boxing, Kickboxing, MMA, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu matches across the United States.  Asia is an assistant instructor in Força’s Youth MMA program and trains five days a week while attending Arkansas Tech University and focusing on earning her bachelor’s degree.
Training Background
Aaron Morris has over ten years of law enforcement experience and is currently a Pope Country Deputy who holds the title of Training Supervisor for the department.  He began his martial arts training in 2013 under Brian Wilson at Força Martial Arts & Fitness in Russellville.  He has also trained with numerous martial arts masters including Danny Dring, Rodrigo Pinheiro, and his mentor, Tim Morris, among others.  Aaron holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has won numerous medals in several tournament matches across the United States.  He won a silver medal at the 2015 IBJJF World Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships in Long Beach, California.  Aaron is also a former collegiate athlete, playing football in the NCAA and NAIA.

As current president of Força’s Community Outreach Program, instructor of Judo and Aikido, and student in Força’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Fitness programs, Joshua McMillian brings over 20 years of martial arts experience to the mats. Forca’s Kids Martial Arts Classes are a fun and exciting way to teach your children the important life skills and character development needed to mature into young adults and beyond. They will develop self-defense and take part in a fun and effective workout that will leave them feeling both confident and healthy!

Forca Martial Arts offers a proven Mixed Martial Arts program that will help you gain the ability to protect yourself and your loved ones through developing a strong sense of inner-peace and confidence – all while getting in great shape! We have put together an expert staff of instructors who teach the most effective standup and ground fighting self-defense techniques in the world today!

Fitness Kickboxing

Our Fitness Kickboxing classes are 45-minute interval based training sessions, which include cardiovascular and resistance training, as well as plyometric exercises and core isometric poses. Burn fat, tone your body and get fit fast with our fun and exciting Fitness Kickboxing classes here in Russellville! Quickly lose 5-10lbs and shed that unwanted body fat while burning 800-1,000 calories per class!

Community Outreach

Our Community Outreach Programs have been serving the Arkansas River Valley since 1997.  We work with local organizations and agencies to provide training opportunities for local youth and teens from the Russellville Community by being a positive influence and instilling confidence and discipline into each member.
